CPC REWARDS IN THE COMMSCOPE INFRASTRUCTURE ACADEMY


CPCs or Commscope Partner Credits are a quantitative way to measure participation in Commscope Training, webinars and events. The number of CPCs offered for Commscope Infrastructure Academy courses are displayed in the catalog in the form of a CPC icon. For other Commscope events such as webinars, 1CPC is awarded for every 15 minutes of participation.

CPCs are awarded to an employee of a CommScope Partner and are awarded to both the company and the individual. The Company CPC totals are a running total of the company's employee participation and is recorded in the CPP. It is an indicator of the Partner Company's activity with CommScope outside of revenue, and is used for discussion on partner status and level.

The Employee/Student CPCs are recorded in the training system and are used to redeem rewards such as recertification and other items. The CPCs that a student earns are separated into different wallets, based on the type of activity. The balance of the credits in each wallet can be used to 'purchase' rewards. The rewards available are specific to each wallet.   

Note: the CPC icon visible for each course in the catalog is color coded to show which type of CPC is attained (with the name of wallet beneath it), as illustrated below:



Rewards are only available to students who:

Are employees of a CommScope Partner (Company with a Partner ID from CPP)

The company has a valid training passport

Have completed courses or activities that offer CPCs relevant for the rewards on offer. (For Recertification, these are usually the CPCs in the 'General' category or blue color CPC icon). 

CPCs are loaded into wallets. Any wallets that the student has CPCs for and are applicable for the rewards on offer, will show in the rewards section of their dashboard.  

The Rewards section of a student's dashboard will only appear if the above are valid. If it does not show, then student should contact supportdesk@commscopetraining.com

As a guide, 1 CPC represents 15 to 25 minutes of participation in training, webinars or events.


Students can access the rewards section to view the CPCs that they have attained and can redeem against appropriate rewards.
The Rewards section appears in the My Profile drop down list as shown:

Or it can be accessed from the menu list on the left side of the students dashboard, below their photo, name and company, as shown below:



Clicking on My Rewards link will take you to the Rewards Dashboard, which shows the available CPCs the student has earnt in the different CPC wallets, and the possible rewards the student can redeem them against. Each Reward will show the number of CPCs required to 'purchase' that reward, and from which wallet the CPCs are required. 


So, in the example, the student has 35 General CPCs and 4 imVision CPCs, which means they are able to use the former to redeem against the 3361R, and the latter to redeem against the GL5555R. (CPCs in the imVision wallet have been earnt from activity specific to the imVision partner program)

Important Note: For rewards that are recertification certificates, the certificates will not be made available immediately, as they are subject to an eligibility check to confirm the student has previously completed the appropriate certifications. This can take up to 2 working days. If no record can be found, the student will be emailed to provide proof of previous certification, and the order will be cancelled if not valid. 



To redeem a reward, the student would click on box to confirm they want to use credits for the rewards, and then click on the 'Claim Reward' button.


Once clicked, the order is confirmed and the certificate created after the eligibility check is successfully completed.

If the student clicks on the same reward again, it will show their reward history in lower part of the page.
