New course now available: "Introduction to Smart Cities and Buildings"

The CommScope Infrastructure Academy is pleased to announce that the launch of a new course on the topic of smart cities and the technologies that support this. 


The WR9701 course helps students understand possible wired and wireless systems used for smart city and building networks, including 5G and CRAN and the infrastructure components involved.
The course covers the trends impacting modern urban design at a high level. It introduces 5G and IoT, the impact of Network Densification, Optimization and Virtualization. Central Radio Access Networks (CRAN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Mobile Edge Computing are discussed. Infrastructure components for Smart Light Pole Concealment and Smart Building Infrastructure are covered. 

This is a 30 minutes course and is free of charge.
