SproutVideo Playback Issues

SproutVideo Playback Issues

The issue you’re experiencing when trying to play videos is most likely caused by network or IT security restrictions, rather than a problem with your account or the platform.

The videos are hosted securely via SproutVideo, which streams content from its own domains and content delivery network. In many corporate environments, video streaming services are blocked by default unless they are specifically allowlisted by the IT team.

To confirm whether this is the cause, try accessing the videos:

  • On a different network (e.g. home Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot), or
  • On a different device outside your corporate network

If the videos play successfully in those cases, it confirms that the issue is due to your corporate network restrictions.

To resolve this, please ask your IT team to allowlist SproutVideo. At a minimum, this usually includes:

  • *.sproutvideo.com
  • HTTPS traffic over port 443
  • Access without SSL inspection (if applicable)

SproutVideo can also provide a full list of required domains if your IT team needs more detailed information.
