Some emails may take a few minutes to arrive, so please allow 10 minutes, then check your spam or junk folder.

We regularly do checks to ensure that our emails get through to you but sometimes your security is too strong. To ensure these emails come through to your inbox we recommend adding the domain @commscopetraining.com to your safe senders list. 

How to Add an Email Address to Your Safe List in Common Email Clients

Emails from important contacts or organizations sometimes end up in the spam or junk folder by mistake. To prevent this from happening, you can add the email address to your "safe list" or "whitelist," which tells your email client that emails from that address are trusted. This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to add the email address supportdesk@commscopetraining.com to the safe list in popular email clients: Outlook Desktop, Outlook.com, Gmail, and Apple Mail.


1. Outlook Desktop (Windows & Mac)

To add an email address to the safe list in the desktop version of Microsoft Outlook:

Windows:

  1. Open Outlook: Launch Outlook on your desktop.
  2. Go to Junk Email Settings:
    • Navigate to the "Home" tab.
    • In the "Delete" group, click the Junk dropdown arrow.
    • Select Junk Email Options.
  3. Add to Safe Senders:

Mac:

  1. Open Outlook: Launch Outlook on your Mac.
  2. Navigate to Preferences:
    • Click on Outlook in the top menu bar.
    • Select Preferences.

    • In the Preferences window, select Junk under the "Email" section.

To add an email address to the safe list in Outlook.com (formerly known as Hotmail or Live.com):

  1. Login to Outlook.com: Go to outlook.com and sign in with your Microsoft account.
  2. Open Settings:
    • Click on the gear icon () in the top-right corner.
    • Scroll down and click on View all Outlook settings at the bottom of the menu.
  3. Access Junk Email Settings:
    • In the settings pane, go to Mail > Junk email.
  4. Add to Safe Senders:
  5. Save Changes: Click Save at the bottom of the settings window.

3. Gmail (Google Mail)

To ensure that emails from supportdesk@commscopetraining.com never end up in your Spam folder in Gmail:

  1. Login to Gmail: Open Gmail and sign in.
  2. Go to Filters and Blocked Addresses:
    • Click the gear icon () in the top-right corner and select See all settings.
    • Navigate to the Filters and Blocked Addresses tab.
  3. Create a New Filter:
    • Scroll down and click on Create a new filter.
  4. Enter Email Address:
  5. Choose Action:
    • Check the box next to Never send it to Spam.
    • Optionally, you can also choose to Mark it as important to ensure visibility.
  6. Finalize the Filter: Click Create filter to save your settings.

4. Apple Mail (Mac)

To whitelist an email address in the default Mail app on Mac:

  1. Open Apple Mail: Launch the Mail app on your Mac.
  2. Go to Preferences:
    • Click Mail in the top-left corner of the menu bar.
    • Select Preferences from the dropdown menu.
  3. Navigate to Rules:
    • In the Preferences window, go to the Rules tab.
    • Click on Add Rule.
  4. Create a Rule:
    • Name the rule something like "Whitelist CommScope Training."
    • Under the "If" section, set the criteria to From > Contains.
    • Enter supportdesk@commscopetraining.com in the field.
  5. Set the Action:
    • In the "Perform the following actions" section, choose Move Message and select Inbox.
  6. Save Rule: Click OK to create the rule and then click Apply when prompted.
